Telehealth at Crimson Neurology

We offer video and phone consultations under the Medicare telehealth framework, making specialist neurology accessible to patients across South Australia and nationally.

Who can access telehealth?

Telehealth consultations are available to all patients with a valid GP or specialist referral. You must be located in Australia at the time of the consultation.

What technology do I need?

A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone. We use a secure, browser-based platform — no app download required. A stable internet connection is recommended.

Medicare rebates for telehealth

Video consultations attract the same Medicare rebate as an equivalent in-person consultation (MBS items 91824 for initial, 91825 for subsequent). A gap fee may apply.

How do I book?

Ask your GP to send a referral via HealthLink (gp2neuro) or email, noting your preference for telehealth. Our team will contact you and send a secure link.

Is telehealth right for my condition?

Telehealth suits follow-up consultations, medication reviews, results discussions, and many new referrals. Some conditions requiring physical examination may benefit from an in-person visit.

Patients outside Adelaide

Crimson Neurology welcomes referrals from across Australia. For patients outside South Australia, telehealth is a practical and Medicare-rebatable option.

For Patients
